Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

Trust must be developed quickly on the streets to gain permission to create a portrait. It’s a collaboration, a co-creating, between the subject and the photographer

Dirty Kids” is a self-given name for homeless, traveling, gypsy kids. They are typically between the ages of 16 – 32 and seek freedom and adventure through travel. These kids wear their dirt as a badge of honor and take pride in their community name.

Entertaining Angels Project creates healing by communicating value, unity, and love. We believe that everyone desires to be loved, valued, and accepted without judgments. We practice our spirituality by simply “loving thy neighbor”.

Our mission is two-fold:

First: to communicate value to the Dirty Kids. We do this by sitting with them, hugging them, listening to their stories, photographing them, and sharing what we have learned with them. We don’t smoke cigarettes but we carry them with us in case they ask for one. This simple act makes them very happy. When they find out we only carry cigarettes for them, they are overwhelmed with our kindness. We have learned that the Dirty Kids love candy, fruit, nuts and baby wipes, so we frequently carry those items to share with them as well.

Our second mission is to cause a paradigm shift in the public’s perspective regarding these Dirty Kids through our Entertaining Angels Project ministry. We speak in churches and at community events to share the Dirty Kids stories, wisdom, and portraits. Our intention is to move the public from Fear to Love and encourage the communities where Dirty Kids temporarily rest their heads to have greater awareness & compassion.

Please contact us if you’d like us to speak at your church or event.
